Background checks are a universal Buddy prerequisite. Lane-specific qualifications and administrator approval control which lanes become bookable.

Background screening and lane-specific approval determine which work a Buddy may accept.

Identity Tools
Identity and facial-verification checks are used at the points shown in the app when those checks are required.
LAYER 3
At-Door Confirmation
Supported sessions can require a client confirmation before the in-person session proceeds.
LAYER 4
Session-Bound Location
Location features operate only during the governed session boundaries described in the app.
LAYER 5
Optional Session Sharing
Clients can choose to share a time-limited session view with someone they trust when that feature is available.
LAYER 6
SOS Tools
In-app safety tools can help a user contact emergency services and send configured alerts. BUDDY is not an emergency service.
Beyond the loop
Share session with loved ones
During an active session, clients can optionally send a read-only live link to someone they trust — Buddy first name, photo, and session status. Time-bound, revocable, and Buddy-consented. Separate from SOS.
In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number. Do not rely on BUDDY as an emergency service.
